Moving Forward! A Symposium on Subsidized Guardianship

Hosted by the Annie E. Casey Foundation/Casey Family Services and the Children’s Defense Fund, this symposium drew upon the experience and expertise of caregivers and youth, advocates, researchers, and state and local child welfare leaders to collectively assess the policy solutions and opportunities to increase supports for children being raised by relative caregivers. The group focused on identifying new policy opportunities that will help public and private child welfare agencies move closer to ensuring that guardianship is a fully implemented permanency option for vulnerable children and families.
