Subsidized Guardianship: Collaborating to Identify New Policy Initiatives
December 12, 2006Boston, Massachusetts
Casey Family Services collaborated with Tufts University and Generations United to host this symposium, which convened representatives from 12 states. The event served as a working session on policy analysis and a review of funding strategies available to state agencies to support children placed with guardians, as well as children in the care of relatives who are not in the child welfare system.
The symposium provided an opportunity to explore the current federal landscape, the use of research as an advocacy tool, and an overview of subsidized guardianship in the states.
