Their Day in Court: Adequate Representation for Children and Parents in Child Protective Services

November 20, 2006

Hartford, Connecticut

This legal representation forum, cosponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation/Casey Family Services and Connecticut Voices for Children brought together legal experts, legislators, state officials, judges, advocates, parents, and young people to learn about effective ways in which lawyers represent children and parents involved with protective services in other jurisdictions. The event continued a conversation focused on the courts’ role in helping children find permanence and in protecting the rights of families during the process.
