Following the 2006 National Convening on Youth Permanence, the Annie E. Casey Foundation and its direct service agency, Casey Family Services, hosted a conference call with journalists from across the nation. This audio press conference discussed the urgent need for children in state care to connect with loving families.

Held September 19, 2006, “Families for Life: Addressing the Needs of Older Children and Youth in Foster Care” was moderated by Dana Vicars Shelley, director of strategic communications for the Annie E. Casey Foundation. In attendance were Foundation President Douglas W. Nelson and Casey Family Services Executive Director Raymond L. Torres.
