The Casey Center for Effective Child Welfare Practice was launched in 2001. The Center coordinates national technical assistance that engages our own Casey practitioners and national consultants to facilitate an array of peer-to-peer learning opportunities. The Casey Center operates within a network of Annie E. Casey Foundation technical assistance providers to consult with selected states, counties and cities to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children, families and communities.

Our core goals are to:

  • Improve positive outcomes for more vulnerable children and families than Casey can serve directly.
  • Coordinate and provide quality technical assistance reflecting Casey Family Services’ successful child welfare practices.
  • Develop knowledge and learning opportunities that support practice, program and policy improvements in the wider child welfare field.
