Supervises direct service staff in assigned area of responsibility to ensure the delivery of quality services. In conjunction with management, assists with program development, program budget management, and operations to achieve CFS strategic goals. Knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in family preservation, reunification, foster care, adoption and adolescent issues. Familiarity with permanency planning and permanency teaming preferred. Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all organizational levels as well as with community representatives demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of research and program evaluation. Working knowledge of computers and related software. Knowledge of professional standards and ethics.
Master of Social Work degree from a college or university accredited by the Council of Social Work Education. Family Support Specialist
As part of the child’s permanency treatment team, provides in-home and community based clinical interventions appropriate to the needs of the child and family in collaboration with the social worker.
Bachelor’s degree in social worker or other related human services field. At least two years experience working with children and families preferred. Familiarity with permanency planning, specialized training in behavior, physical and crisis management. Project Manager
Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates technical assistance, training and other learning activities throughout CFS and nationally, assuring the quality of services and compliance with all state, federal and accrediting body regulations. Focuses on programs that meet CFS technical assistance priorities. Evaluates and responds to all requests for technical assistance and training with other team members. Manages an array of technical assistance projects and provides direct technical assistance consistently supporting CFS mission, philosophy, program priorities and objectives.
Master’s degree in social work or related human services field from an accredited college or university. At least ten years supervisory and training experience in child welfare and mental health fields of practice. Intensive knowledge of emerging and current social work, permanency planning and mental health practices/trends within the child welfare and family service arena. Familiarity with social services, court/legal, and mental health systems. Working knowledge of computer systems. Excellent program development, interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with board members, community leaders, professionals and all levels of staff.

As needed serves as program receptionist greeting and welcoming all visitors and directing callers to appropriate resource.
High school diploma with additional specialized office support training required. At least two years secretarial experience required. Division Director - Baltimore, MD
The Baltimore Division of CFS focuses on the needs of young parents and children in East Baltimore within a family support setting. Multiple groups and programs are offered to strengthen parenting skills and to prepare young parents for economic success. Groups include GED and pre-GED courses, ESOL classes, on-going parent-child and parenting support services, and services for young fathers. The division director will play a critical role in launching an innovative foster care program designed to keep young mothers and their children together in care.
The Director of the Baltimore Division will be responsible for providing leadership to a staff of 27, managing a budget of approximately $3 million, and providing clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of quality services. The Director will also serve as a member of the CFS management team and serve on committees of the Annie E. Casey Foundation focused on community development in East Baltimore.
The ideal candidate will have a MSW or related degree, a minimum of 10 years of management experience and clinical knowledge and skill. Experience with foster care is essential and knowledge of the Baltimore community is preferred. Bilingual abilities a plus.
