The Post-Adoptive Services Study
In conjunction with consultants from the University of North Carolina and the Research Triangle Institute, Casey Family Services recently completed an evaluation of its Post-Adoption Services program.
The results showed generally positive outcomes for families. In particular, gains were likely to be found in the areas of child behavior and family communication. The information gathered in this evaluation had important implications for both practice and policy.
In order to better understand the relationship between services and outcomes, Casey Family Services is building on the results of this evaluation with a second round of data collection that will gather more detailed information in those areas. This next phase of the evaluation is slated to begin towards the end of 2001.
