Levels of Care Project

In order to ensure that children in Casey Family Services Treatment Foster Care Program receive the appropriate amount and intensity of services as they progress in treatment, Casey Family Services initiated the Levels of Care Project. Four levels of care have been identified, based on a child's treatment needs and the intensity of care, supervision and services required to meet those needs. A rating tool has been designed to identify a child's level of care.

Currently, a pilot is underway to examine the use of this tool by treatment teams in their regular quarterly case reviews of a child's progress. A later phase of the pilot will include a careful examination of the reliability and validity of the level of care rating tool.
