Victoria Rowell

Victoria Rowell

Actress Victoria Rowell is someone who is very special. She has starred in two national TV series: "Diagnosis Murder" and "The Young and the Restless." She is the mother of two young children. She is the founder and president of the Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan Foundation.

And she is a former foster child.

Victoria Rowell is also national spokesperson for Casey Family Services. She has embraced this task with the enthusiasm that is her signature. Between March and May last year she was on four national TV shows talking about Casey Family Services and the need for more people to get involved in foster care. She also narrated a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for radio and television and arranged for our PSA to be aired in movie theatres around the country. The PSA has aired throughout New England and soon will be shown nationally on CBS network television.

Victoria also wrote a tribute to foster mothers that appeared in the Mother's Day editions of the Portland Press Herald and the Connecticut Post. Even when she was on "Hollywood Squares" she remembered Casey and included a message about foster care and our toll-free number on each show. And in her latest endeavor, she has taken on the role of a foster mother in "Diagnosis Murder." At the close of the premiere two-hour episode, Victoria appeared on screen and in character to briefly speak about foster care and Casey Family Services.

"She is literally the personification of the foster care success story," says Casey Family Services Executive Director Raymond Torres. "We are so grateful for her energy, her commitment and her desire to help children in foster care. We look forward to getting her even more involved in our programs."
