Casey-Maine Red Claws Partnership for Foster and Adoptive Families

Casey Family Services and the Maine Red Claws basketball team are partnering this year to promote foster/adoptive care and the need for families, especially families for older youth. The two organizations are a natural fit, as team president Jon Jennings made it clear the team hopes to make a difference in the lives of children and others in our community. Casey Division Director Mark Millar (that’s Mark, below, thrilled to model Jennings’ Celtics championship ring) and Casey staffer Cindy Webber met with Dejuan Eubanks and Jana Spaulding of the Red Claws organization to discuss ways the team can be involved.

So far, we have a date for a foster/adoptive night at the Expo (February 25, you heard it first here!) and have created a promotional spot with Coach Austin Ainge and two Casey kids about the need for foster/adoptive homes. It’s exciting to see where the partnership will lead!
