The 2008 National Convening on Youth Permanence

May 01, 2008

Washington, D.C.

The National Convening on Youth Permanence challenges the long-standing paradigm that older children and youth in foster care are unlikely to develop strong family connections before reaching the age of majority. Initiated in 2002, the National Convening on Youth Permanence was first hosted by the Annie E. Casey Foundation/Casey Family Services in 2006. In 2008, Casey Family Programs joined the event as cohost. Both organizations are planning for the next gathering in 2010.
