In 1976, Jim Casey, the founder of UPS, established Casey Family Services as a fully licensed, nonprofit child welfare agency dedicated to helping children in foster care.

Since its founding, Casey Family Services has evolved to provide comprehensive services that support safe, stable, and lifelong family relationships for children and youth both in foster care and in the struggling communities in which it works.

Casey Family Services offers a continuum of services, including:

  • Foster care and adoption
  • Family advocacy, preservation, and reunification
  • Adoption support and other post-permanency services
  • Community-based family strengthening and resource centers

Casey Family Services also is committed to disseminating lessons learned to improve child welfare practice at the local, state, and national levels. This work is done through the development of innovative and evidence-based practice models.
