Post-Adoption Services
The Post-Adoption Program in the Rhode Island Division of Casey Family Services is available for individuals and families who have been impacted by adoption, or might be in the future. The program's staff consists of highly trained licensed clinical social workers who have extensive experience in family systems therapy and work with both adults and children, as well as their families.
These clinicians, who function as part of a larger multidisciplinary consultation team, work with adoptive and pre-adoptive families providing time-limited serves focused on issues relating to adoption. The multidisciplinary team may include a child psychiatrist, a child psychologist, and educational specialist, and occupational therapist and a behavioral specialist, depending upon the needs of the child and family.
