Rhode Island Program Helps Youth To Live Independently (pdf)

The Washington Park Branch Library and our Family Support Program have just completed a very successful after-school collaboration: "The Homework Club". We began this service for neighborhood children last November and our numbers grew to well over 20 children. We ended the year with a cookout, games and prizes for all the kids. We are continuing this collaboration for the 2005-06 school year and look forward to securing additional volunteers so that we may be able to serve a larger number of children this year.
