Services Offered: Post-Adoption
Services The goal of the New Hampshire
Division’s Post-Adoption Services Program
is to sustain permanent family connections for
children. Services for adoptive families include:
specialized counseling, support groups, case management,
education, and advocacy. Casey also provides clinical
consultation and training to mental health providers
on attachment, trauma, grief and loss, and other
issues pertinent to adoption.
Casey works with other agencies in New Hampshire
to increase the sensitivity, knowledge base, and
clinical practice regarding adoption practice.
Partnerships with social service providers have
helped to foster Casey’s collaborative role
in developing new protocols for the court system
to help children and families reach permanence
and sustain lifelong family connections. Finally,
Casey’s focus on training community service
providers educates parents and professionals throughout
the state on sustaining healthy connections between
adoptive parents and adopted children.
Casey Family Services collaborates with Child
& Family Services and the state Division of
Children, Youth and Families in the Collaborative
Post-Adoption Services Project of New Hampshire.
As part of this project, foster and adoptive couples
participate in relationship enhancement seminars
on one-day and weekend retreats. Children are
involved in seasonal activities facilitated by
child-centered staff.
