Family Fun Night
On November 5, Casey Family Services Post Adopt
Program & State of NH Division for Children,
Youth and Families (DCYF) sponsored their annual
Family Fun Night. This event is for all NH adoptive
families to join for an evening of food, fun and
celebration.
The night included dinner, open gym, and swimming
at the YMCA in Manchester, NH.
This event continues to be very successful, and
this year close to one hundred people took advantage
of this celebratory occasion. Many thanks to the
Post Adopt and DCYF staff, and we look forward
to next year’s Family Fun Night. It is always
on the first Saturday of November, so keep that
date in mind for 2006.
Out For the Day/Respite Program
Casey Family Services Post Adopt Program and the
University of New Hampshire’s Outdoor Education
Program have worked together to provide respite
for parents, while offering adopted children a
day of structured fun. The program has completed
its fourth year, and many families have taken
advantage of this exciting opportunity. We have
served many youths, and the participation has
been very rewarding.
The structured day offers numerous activities
such as arts and crafts, swimming, gym games,
and team building games. The program runs one
Saturday a month, and is open to adopted boys
and girls ages 7-15. The program is held on the
beautiful campus of UNH which provides numerous
resources for the children. There are many openings
still available for the upcoming year. Call Jamie
at 603-224-8909 ext. 608 for additional information
and application.
