Services Offered

Foster Care

We work with foster parents to help young people reach the highest level of safety, well being and connection to a permanent family. Contact us (ffuller@caseyfamilyservices.org) for more information.

Permanency Planning Foster Care
Casey Family Services provides a foster care program that is in support of a larger goal to help children identify a network of supportive relationships and establish a life long connection to a family. Our program engages the youth, significant people in their life and Casey foster parents as a team that plans and develops this important set of relationships. Casey Family Services recruits committed, talented resource parents who receive a high level of training and support. Youth in the program receive a wide variety of supportive services that address their needs.

Permanency Planning Treatment Foster Care
Casey Family Services provides a treatment foster care program for children with emotional challenges who are leaving residential settings to live with a family. Using the team approach, our goal is to help the youth transition into a family and develop a set of relationships that will endure over a life time. Services are designed to provide intensive clinical case management and supports focused on the well-being of each youth. Resource parents in this program are asked to provide highly sophisticated parenting and participate as a member of the permanency and treatment teams.

Respite Care
Respite care provides a scheduled break to the children and families in Casey Family Services. Respite foster parents receive the same ongoing training and services as other foster parents. Oftentimes, they become part of the important network of relationships that help children to grow and develop.

Family Resource Centers

Casey Family Services recognizes the critical importance of community networks on providing all the services and supports families need to grow stronger and better able to ensure the healthy development of their children. Since 1999, we have greatly expanded our work in helping to build and enhance those networks through community-based family resource centers.

The Family Resource Services Program for the Lowell (Massachusetts) Housing Authority (LHA) was launched in 1998 to provide support for families and children living within two housing projects, North Common Village and the George Flanagan Development. Through a contract with the LHA, Casey Family Services is providing a growing, multi-faceted program for children and families through a family resource center, activities for children during out-of-school time, and home visits, as well as family advocacy and support. The Massachusetts Division will continue to enhance its community outreach and actively assist other Casey Divisions in building similar programs.
