VITA Volunteers Wanted!
The Bridgeport division of Casey Family Services is looking for volunteers to staff our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. VITA sites prepare and file basic federal and state income tax forms for families at no charge. Last year, volunteers helped return over $600,000 to Bridgeport families.
Volunteers are needed as tax preparers, clerical staff, childcare staff, computer specialists, and translators. No prior tax experience is necessary. The IRS will train and certify tax preparers.
