The School-to-Career Partnership
Groundbreaking and productive alliances with businesses, government agencies and social service organizations enable the School to Career Partnership to help young people complete their education and prepare for the workforce.
Launched in 1998 by United Parcel Service in collaboration with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and Living Classrooms Foundation, the program has since expanded to seven cities across the country. Under the umbrella of the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative, the program provides youth at risk -- especially young people transitioning out of foster care -- on-the-job mentoring and life skills training, such as help with housing, transportation, and money management. Casey Family Services is proud to participate in School-to-Career Partnerships in Hartford and Bridgeport, Connecticut, Portland, Maine and Providence, Rhode Island.
